Just another comment about buying a computer. I always check this site before making purchases: The Fatwallet.com Hot Deals forum. At this site people list all types of good deals they find, and often there are some excellent deals on computers, and a lot of other stuff.

Yes, but it is difficult to assemble your own laptop, and I have found that many of the companies listed there are not always that reputable. Both sites have advantages, and pricewatch.com is good for specific components, especially when posters on Fatwallet pick up on a deal and discuss the company's reliability.
